Proactive Disclosure Under Section 4 (1) (b) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (As of September, 2015)

The Gujarat State Disaster Management Authority (GSDMA) is a statutory organization which was established for implementing the rehabilitation and reconstruction programme in the areas affected by the Gujarat Earthquake of 26th January 2001. It is also mandated to initiate long-term disaster management capacity building projects for hazards to which the State is prone to which also includes providing training to all types of stakeholders and carrying out mitigation projects.

As a statutory authority, we have great pleasure in publishing information related to the authority to comply with the provisions of the Right to Information Act-2005. We have provided all the necessary information in a pro-active manner, and also in a manner which will be easy to understand and accessible to the public. However, we solicit your suggestions and comments in order to improve this document and make it more useful to the public.
